One Day at a Time
Blessed be the Lord, who daily loads us with benefits. Psalm 68:19
Have you ever looked at a whole big week ahead and felt overwhelmed? Maybe you’ve got a math test on Monday, a project due Wednesday, a game on Friday, and a dentist appointment somewhere in there too. If you try to carry all of that worry at once, it feels like way too much!
Here’s some good news from the Bible: God doesn’t hand us strength for the whole month all at once. He gives us what we need one day at a time. The Bible says God “daily loads us with benefits”—which means every single day, God packs our lives with good things and just enough strength for that day.
Remember the manna in the desert? God didn’t give the Israelites a year’s worth of food in one giant pile. He gave them exactly enough for each day. He wanted them to learn to trust Him fresh every morning. God does the same with us! He’s not asking you to be brave enough for everything that might ever happen. He’s just asking you to trust Him for today. And when tomorrow comes, He’ll have new strength waiting for you then too.
Think About It: Are you worrying about something that hasn’t even happened yet? Jesus taught us to ask God for our “daily bread”, meaning just what we need for today. What would change if you stopped trying to carry your entire week’s worth of worries and simply trusted God for this one day? Try telling Him, “God, I’ll trust You one day at a time.” Then take a deep breath, because today, He’s got you.

PARTNER WITH us

As a father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, the importance of family has always been a core value in my life. I have been a pastor for decades, watching families grow and generation after generation come up in faith. That is why Bible Strong Kids is so important to me. What better legacy to leave for our children and grandchildren than to raise them up in faith, strengthening them for the journey ahead all the way into adulthood?
I hope you will join us in this endeavor to create the next generation of Bible Strong Kids—children who know their worth in God’s eyes and are equipped to shine His light in an increasingly dark world.
