A “Peace” of Fruit
But the fruit of the Spirit is…peace. Galatians 5:22
How do apples get on an apple tree? Does someone come by and hang them on the branches? No, of course not—that’s silly! They grow there naturally because it’s an apple tree. Just like an apple tree, when you naturally do something good and people can see that about you, the Bible calls it “fruit.”
The Bible says that when the Holy Spirit is at work in your heart, certain good things grow out of you, including peace. One way to spot the Spirit working in your life is to look for peace. Peace is a calm feeling that everything is going to be okay because God is taking care of you.
So here’s a clue: if you’re feeling super worried and stressed out all the time, it might mean you’re forgetting to trust God in that situation. Worry and peace are kind of opposites—it’s hard to have both at once!
The good news is the Bible tells us exactly how to swap worry for peace. Instead of carrying your worries around like a heavy backpack, you talk to God about them. You tell Him what’s bothering you, thank Him for being good, and then ask Him to take it. When you do, God gives you a peace that guards your heart!
Take Action: Try the “Worry Swap”! Grab a piece of paper and write down (or draw) one thing you’re worried about. Then hold it up and pray: “God, here’s my worry. Thank You for taking care of me. Please trade my worry for Your peace.” When you’re done, you can even crumple up the paper to show you’re handing the worry over to God. He’s strong enough to carry it!

PARTNER WITH us

As a father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, the importance of family has always been a core value in my life. I have been a pastor for decades, watching families grow and generation after generation come up in faith. That is why Bible Strong Kids is so important to me. What better legacy to leave for our children and grandchildren than to raise them up in faith, strengthening them for the journey ahead all the way into adulthood?
I hope you will join us in this endeavor to create the next generation of Bible Strong Kids—children who know their worth in God’s eyes and are equipped to shine His light in an increasingly dark world.
