You know how a gaming handheld or a tablet works great in the morning, but by the end of the day the battery is almost dead? It slows down, the screen goes dim, and finally it won’t turn on at all until you plug it in and charge it back up.

Guess what? People can feel that way too! Not your body’s battery, but something deeper inside you. Sometimes your heart feels worn out, worried, or just plain tired of trying to do the right thing. So where do you go to get charged back up?

You go to God! In today’s verse, Paul prays that God would strengthen us “with power through his Spirit in your inner being.” That means God’s Holy Spirit can fill you up with strength right where you need it most—on the inside.

The Holy Spirit was sent to be your Helper. When you feel weak, you don’t have to pretend to be strong all by yourself. You can simply ask God, “Please fill me up with Your strength today.” And He loves to answer that prayer!

Take Action: The next time you plug in a gaming handheld, tablet, or controller to charge, let it remind you to say a quick prayer. Tell God, “I feel a little low today. Will You fill me up with Your strength?” Try saying that prayer every morning this week, like plugging your heart in before the day starts. You might be amazed how much stronger you feel on the inside!
