Keep Jesus in the Center(Piece)!
He, bearing His cross, went out to a place called…Golgotha, where they crucified Him, and two others with Him, one on either side, and Jesus in the center. John 19:17-18
Do you still have Christmas decorations up at your house? Maybe you have a centerpiece on your table—something pretty in the middle that everyone can see!
The word “center” means the middle—the most important spot. And did you know that Jesus is always in the center? When He was crucified, He was in the center between two other people. And in heaven right now, the Bible says Jesus is “standing at the center of the throne” (Revelation 5:6, NIV)!
Wherever Jesus is, He’s in the center—the most important place!
But here’s a question: Is Jesus in the center of YOUR life? Sometimes we include Jesus in our lives, but we don’t make Him the most important thing. It’s like having Jesus off to the side instead of right in the middle where He belongs!
Think about it like a puzzle. If Jesus is the center piece that everything else connects to, then all the other pieces of your life (school, friends, family, hobbies, sports) make sense! But if we try to put something else in the center (like popularity, video games, or being the best at something), nothing else fits together quite right!
Take Action: Let’s do a “center check”! Draw a big circle on a piece of paper. In the very center of the circle, write JESUS in big letters. Then around Him, draw or write the other important things in your life—your family, school, friends, hobbies, etc. Looking at your picture, is Jesus really in the center of your life? Or are you trying to make something else the most important thing? Talk to God about it. Tell Him, “Jesus, I want You to be in the very center of my life—the most important thing!” Then this week, try to remember to put Jesus first in your thoughts, your choices, and your actions!

PARTNER WITH us

As a father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, the importance of family has always been a core value in my life. I have been a pastor for decades, watching families grow and generation after generation come up in faith. That is why Bible Strong Kids is so important to me. What better legacy to leave for our children and grandchildren than to raise them up in faith, strengthening them for the journey ahead all the way into adulthood?
I hope you will join us in this endeavor to create the next generation of Bible Strong Kids—children who know their worth in God’s eyes and are equipped to shine His light in an increasingly dark world.
