Wow! Christmas is over! How do you feel? Maybe you’re excited about your new presents, maybe you’re tired from all the celebrating, or maybe you’re a little sad that Christmas is over.

Here’s something interesting: The season when we celebrate Jesus, the “Prince of Peace” (Isaiah 9:6), can sometimes be the LEAST peaceful time of year! There’s so much going on—parties, shopping, decorating, traveling, visiting family. It can actually be kind of stressful!

But Jesus promised to give us His peace. He said, “Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you” (John 14:27). Jesus wants us to have peace in our hearts even when things around us are busy or stressful.

So how do we get that peace? The Bible tells us it comes by keeping our minds focused on God and trusting Him! When we remember that God is in control, that He loves us, and that He’s taking care of everything, we can feel calm and peaceful inside—even when life gets crazy!

Jesus also said, “Come to Me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest” (Matthew 11:28, NIV). Whenever you feel stressed, worried, or tired, you can go to Jesus and He’ll give you peace and rest!

Think About It: What makes you feel stressed or worried? Maybe it’s having too much to do, or worrying about school, problems with friends, or changes in your family. The Bible says if we keep our minds focused on God and trust Him, He’ll give us “perfect peace”! This week, whenever you start feeling worried or stressed, stop and pray. Tell Jesus what’s bothering you and ask Him to fill you with His peace. Then take a deep breath and remember—God’s got this!
